Great North Insurance was founded in 2010 by Nicholas Killoran and Zachary Bosh as a scratch agency out of the basement of the Killoran home in West Fargo, ND. 5 core values were established as a compass for the future of Great North Insurance . The Great North Insurance team prides itself on their client centric, questions based model of doing business. The insurance product focus was in property and casualty in 2010-2011. Due to amazing growth in Personal and Commercial lines, Nick and Zach established their first retail store front in 2011. It was during this time that they started to form their team of service professionals while also adding additional product lines. The Great North Insurance team continued to grow the agency over the next 7 years. During this time, Nick and his wife founded the Great North Pole which currently serves over 900 local families in need annually. Nick and Zach believe giving back to local non-profits is an important part in being part of a greater business community. The formation of this non-profit provided an opportunity for the Great North team to satisfy another one of the 5 core values, community involvement. In 2019, Great North Insurance acquired Corwin Insurance and its managing partner, Kane Hanson. The Corwin Insurance acquisition enabled Great North Insurance to add some great team members as well as increase their product offering to include Group Benefits and Health Insurance. The growth also required another move to their current office location at Great North Plaza in 2020. Today, Great North Insurance, a HUB International Great Plains company offers many other services and expertise including but not limited to; Loss Control, Risk Services, Claims Management, Compliance Consulting, HR Advocacy and Technology, Voluntary Benefits, Private Client Services, Retirement Plan Consulting, as well as Captive Programs. Great North Insurance has grown to be a full service independent insurance agency in twelve years while maintaining their team member first business ideology. The Great North Insurance culture puts an added focus on the team member work/life blend which is another core value, Team/Family. The belief is that a happy team makes for happy clients and happy clients make for a successful business.
