Three long standing property and casualty insurance agencies in the Bismarck-Mandan area joined together in the 1980’s. Lahr & Lahr Insurance, Murphy Insurance and Ellis Agency joined together to form Lips & Lahr/Ellis Agency. In the late 1990’s, BNC National Bank purchased these agencies and became BNC Insurance. In 2007, HUB International acquired BNC Insurance and the agency has been servicing the Bismarck-Mandan area as part of HUB Mountain States Region since.
Our agency has been a part of the community for over 100 years and our core personnel has followed us through the various mergers and acquisitions. Our experienced staff of nine has over 220 years of combined insurance experience.
We concentrate our efforts selling to and servicing customers in central North Dakota. Our personal lines department offers a wide variety of coverage for home, auto and life.
