This HUB office in the north end of Toronto’s Financial District traces its origins to 1888 and was a leading, full service insurance broker even prior to joining the HUB family in 2008. We also are leading Canadian experts in directors’ and officers’ liability insurance for public and private companies; provide surety services for construction and other sectors; and work with associations to provide specialized insurance for their members.

This office also specializes in developing and administering commercial insurance programs for various groups -- industry, professional or other affiliation, franchise or our clients’ customers. Some of the groups that benefit from programs we’ve developed are: auto dealers, boat dealers and brokers, community organizations, exhibitors at tradeshows and craftshows, event organizers, fitness instructors, filmmakers, financial advisors, franchisors, healthcare practitioners, long term care facilities, marinas, performers, sports associations clubs, venue owners and users, yacht clubs.

The expertise of our service-oriented Employee Benefits Practice extends across multiple industries and group sizes including not-for-profits, groups with collective bargaining agreements and franchises. Our commitment to all clients is to create affordable, competitive, and sustainable benefit plans that allow companies to enhance employee recruitment and retention in a competitive job market.

Our experience includes the design and management of specialty plans including owner operator plans, financial modelling on self-insured plans, and stop loss forecasting.

Using proprietary systems, we can also help alleviate plan administration and related costs.

Our Private Client Group provides a personalized experience to affluent individuals and their families on a global scale. The team specializes in high-valued insurable assets, from properties and automobiles, to more specialized coverage for collections of fine art, wine, jewelry, antiques and more, as well as a range of personal liability and executive protection policies.

HUB Gives Is How We Give Back

We are active members of our community both volunteering our time as individuals and supporting organizations through donations and sponsorship. We are also proud to help hundreds of charitable organizations that are clients of our Community Based Organizations Practice achieve their goals by doing what we do best - providing thoughtful insurance and risk management advice.

By far our greatest HUB Gives activity is in support of the United Way of Greater Toronto (UWGT). In 2017, we raised over $140,000 through employee donations, our annual industry Hockey Challenge, participation in the annual United Way CN Tower Stair Climb and our week-long campaign of activities designed to bring UWGT to the attention of all of our 250 colleagues. We are proud to have been recognized by UWGT many times as a nominee for their annual Spirit Award and as a winner in 2013.
